Custom Paintings and "Painted Memories"

Colleen's passion for travel has led her to beautiful settings throughout Europe.  Creating paintings of her favorite scenes and memories sparked the idea that she could provide this service for others.  Aside from painting scenes that capture the beauty of an Italian town or French vineyard where she has wandered, Colleen offers her clients the opportunity to share photos of their special place in order for her to bring it to life in a painting.  Colleen wants to redefine the idea of the types of paintings people commission. Most people are familiar with the commission concept as it relates to portraiture but Colleen feels it is really applicable for these kinds of travel and memory related images.  Rather than clients searching for a painting on their trip and being confronted by work that isn't quite right, they can commission Colleen to paint the exact scene that spoke to them - in the medium they want, at the size they need.  

Photography

My clients are usually searching for a defining feel for a place.  They may desire a comfortable, inviting and familiar space or want something colorful and contemporary. Colleen is a gatherer of ideas and images. Living and traveling abroad, has helped her compile a huge resource of photographic imagery, palette ideas, and painting influences that offer endless options and styles for her clients. To complement her painted work, Colleen offers her clients an endless array of photographic images taken around the world that can provide a range of atmospheres.  ​Close-ups of nature provide guests with a familiar yet modern warm welcome to a waiting room, while serene images of the blue and white of Santorini are superbly fit for a spa. Lush tropical imagery, Venetian vignettes, touches of Turkish tiles can offer a more exotic edge. Classic Black and White images of Paris project a timeless romantic feel.  Colleen's passion for gathering images of some of the most beautiful places in the world began during her year living in London as a Rotary Scholar.  Over the last 25 years, she has compiled a large and diverse library of images that can serve up just the right mood for your project.  These images can be combined beautifully with custom painted works to provide just the right mix.
